LS Central on Business Central

LS Central on Business Central is licensed with either a perpetual software license or a subscription software license. LS Retail follows guidelines and policies that Microsoft sets for on-prem perpetual and subscription licensing. Please review the Licensing Policy and Licensing Guides on Microsoft PartnerSource Business Center (the link requires a Microsoft PSBC login)for detailed information. All orders will be processed and invoiced by LS Retail.

A perpetual license gives permanent usage rights. Perpetual licensing requires upfront investment and the customer owns the license once purchased. As long as customer is current on enhancement, he will have access to the most up-to-date version of LS Central.

A subscription license gives usage rights to the software during the active term of the license agreement. Subscription licensing offers customers to subscribe to the rights to use the software and services instead of owning them. Subscription licensing increases the flexibility for the customer, allowing them to increase or decrease license modules during the subscription term. As long as customer is current on his subscription, he will have access to the most up-to-date version of LS Central.

There are significant licensing differences between perpetual licensing and subscription licensing, as illustrated below.
